Above the Barre offers three carefully designed programs named Above the Barre School of Dance, Above the Barre Gymnastics and Top All Star Cheer. Students and families are encouraged to enjoy the benefits of having three high quality programs in one central location.

Above the Barre School of Dance was founded in 2003 and offers a progressive program in dance technique, which takes the young dancer from the preschool levels to pre-professional dance. The staff is made up of professionals who have years of experience as teachers, performers, and choreographers.  They have expertise in teaching children and understand that dance disciplines must be taught with enjoyment and encouragement.  Classes are available for the very beginner to the dancer who chooses to become more serious.  The School of Dance offers strong technical Ballet training using the Cecchetti Method as its foundation.  We encourage our dancers to enjoy all the different disciplines and to strive to become a well-rounded and educated dancer by studying Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop and Acrobatics.  Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop classes provide opportunities to enhance rhythm, musicality, and fun.  Acrobatic class enhances flexibility and strength.  Above the Barre is home of the award winning Above the Barre Dance Company which gives talented and dedicated intermediate to advanced students an opportunity to perform in many outside venues.

Above the Barre Gymnastics offers professional and structured training in the sport of Gymnastics.  Instruction is provided that can take the young athlete from the preschool levels to Pre Elite Gymnastics.  The facility has two gyms allowing the maximum advantages for every student.  The staff is made up of USAG Professionals who have years of experience as coaches and gymnasts.  They have expertise in teaching young children and understand gymnastics training that is both disciplined and fun produces the best results.  Classes are available for boys and girls who are walking up through adult classes.  Above the Barre believes that gymnastics is for everyone and will work with those of all abilities and ages.  Classes are also offered for those children who have special needs .  Above the Barre is home to the Mega Stars Competitive Gymnastic Team which is a program designed for dedicated athletes who would like to become more serious about their gymnastic training.

TOP All-Star Cheer is a comprehensive cheerleading program for males and females ages 3-18 years.  The program includes classes in cheer, tumbling and competitive cheer teams.  Our TOP goal is to provide a cheer program that teaches young athletes all aspects of cheerleading using proper skill progressions.  TOP Cheer athletes safely practice in a fast-paced, goal-oriented atmosphere.  We have classes and teams of all levels and ages, so there’s one right for you!  Above the Barre is proud of their National Champion All Stars.
