    Jessica Heyduk
Outreach Director & Xcel Team Head Coach

Jessica has been with Above the Barre since 2012 coaching all levels of Gymnastics; from Parent and Child Classes to USAG Xcel Silver/Gold. Jessica started her athletic career as a dancer. She trained in ballet and tap from the age of 3 to 7. After moving to the Florida Keys and trying soccer, cheerleading and softball, she found a small gym with just a few members and fell in love with Gymnastics. After a year, she returned to Ohio and began competing USAG Level 4 and continued all the way up to Level 9 and even trained to Level 10! Even after enduring a broken foot, she returned to competitive Gymnastics in High School and was an important member of the Olmsted Falls Varsity Team for all 4 years. She attended many camps were she got to work side by side with Olympic coaches and gymnasts; with her fondest memory being a week of private lessons with Svetiana Boguinskaia, (3 time Olympic Champion). “Svetlana gave me everything I needed to become a State Floor Champion.” After her many accomplishments as a competitive gymnast, Jessica graduated from High School and started her degree in Sports Medicine. Jessica is a USAG professional member, AAU, USAG safety, risk management, concussion, and first response certified. Here at ATB, Jessica enjoys hosting Birthday Parties, field trips, and troop outings. Her goal is “for every child I teach, I want them to be the best they can in every aspect of their lives all while having fun! I want them to always believe in the power within and to never quit.” When Jessica is not busy with her student’s, she loves spending time with her husband and two boys.

    Nina Lupica

Nina first joined the Above the Barre family in August of 2016. She started her education in dance at the age of just 2 years old after watching neighborhood friends dancing outside. Trying to mimic what they were doing, she begged her parents for classes. Ms. Nina trained strictly in Cecchetti Ballet as well as jazz, tap and lyrical. She took classes and attended conventions from well known choreographers and dancers such as Brian Friedman, Mia Micheals, Francisco Gella and many others. Just one of her many accomplishments in dance was tapping alongside Sarah Savelli, Ayodele Casel and Savion Glover for a holiday performance in New York City. Nina’s love for teaching starts all with the kids; instructing them on how to grow in their dance and also into respectable young adults. What she enjoys most about teaching here at ATB are the kids technique classes where they practice future performances; she loves teaching these classes as much as she enjoys watching them. Fun fact about Nina, she was born with a full head of black hair and even had her first haircut at just 4 months old.
